From Clay to Silver — Silver Clay Workshops

From Clay to Silver — Silver Clay Workshops - Soa Rituals

What is silver clay?

There is something almost alchemical in holding a soft, malleable, almost living paste between your fingers, knowing that after firing, it will become pure silver.

Silver clay is composed of microscopic silver particles mixed with an organic binder and water. It is worked just like earthen clay: you roll it, sculpt it, imprint textures onto it, and shape it. Then comes the firing. The binder evaporates, the particles fuse together, and what remains, what was always there, hidden within the grey clay, is silver.

Silver in your hands

Working with silver clay means embracing a slower pace. Placing your hands on something real. Listening to the material rather than forcing it. A crack? It tells you that you went too fast. A texture that sets perfectly? It rewards your patience.

You don't need to be an artist. You don't need prior training. You just need to be present, curious, open, and let whatever wants to be born come to life.

In the workshop, during these three hours, you will shape your own piece in fine silver — a ring, a pendant, a pair of earrings. Something you will wear because you made it with your own hands, because it will carry the intention you poured into it.

What we create, what we keep

A talisman is not just any piece of jewelry. It carries a story, the story of the moment it was created, of what was in your mind or your heart that day. Silver clay is unique in this way: it welcomes impressions. The touch of fingers, the veins of leaves, the weave of fabrics, or engraved words. It keeps the mark.

What you take home will not just be a silver jewel. It will be proof, soft and shining, that you are capable of creating something beautiful out of a simple grey paste.
